MSN Programs at Capella University

Capella University offers two MSN programs for students interested in specializing in family care. Graduate-level nursing programs are offered online. These programs cover advanced nursing concepts such as health care policy and regulations, management and leadership in professional nursing practice, ethical and legal standards in health care, and other timely subjects. Additional program information includes:

  • Curriculum is modeled on the Essentials of Master’s Education for Advanced Practice Nursing established by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing
  • Five additional concentrations offered as part of the Nurse Educator specialization
  • Nurse Educator Specialization: 56 quarter credits required
    Nurse Educator Bridge: 84 quarter credits required
  • Prepares graduates for board certification examination

Kaplan University — In addition to its several online nursing programs, Kaplan University has a MSN to DNP in Family Nurse Practitioner. Originally the American Institute of Commerce founded in 1937, Kaplan is one of the largest online schools with 70 campuses across the country and offers almost 200 online programs at the associate, bachelor, master, and doctoral levels.

MSN in Nurse Midwifery
University of Cincinnati — If you want to advance your career in nursing, the University of Cincinnati offers online degrees for nursing professionals including an MSN in Women's Health or Nursing Midwifery.
